A modern Tokyo schoolgirl is pulled through a well at her family's shrine and lands in feudal Japan, where she carries a powerful sacred jewel that draws dangerous demons to her. Teaming up with a reluctant half-demon named Inuyasha, she races to recover the shards of that jewel after it shatters across the land.
