Set in the sun-drenched Alola region, this series follows Satoshi and his partner Pikachu as they enroll in a local Pokémon School after a chance encounter with a legendary guardian deity leaves them in possession of a mysterious Z-Ring. Alongside a lively group of classmates, they balance school life with the Island Challenge, a regional tradition centered on mastering powerful Z-Moves that require deep trust between trainer and Pokémon. Alola's relaxed island atmosphere and roster of new and reimagined Pokémon give the series a distinctly warm, sun-soaked personality that sets it apart from earlier entries in the franchise.
