Kazuhiro Kitase has spent years slipping between modern Japan and a fantasy world in his sleep, building an unlikely friendship with Mariabelle, an elf mage who assumes the two worlds are simply one continuous reality. When a dragon attack pulls Mariabelle across the boundary into Japan, Kazuhiro finds himself playing tour guide to someone experiencing Tokyo's streets, food, and rhythms for the very first time.
