About Gintama
Set in an alternate-history Edo where alien rulers have outlawed swords and upended samurai culture, Gintama centers on Gintoki Sakata, a laid-back oddball who runs a small odd-jobs business with his mismatched crew. The series blends sharp comedy with genuine heart, bouncing between absurd slice-of-life scenarios and surprisingly gripping action across a vividly reimagined version of old Tokyo.
